One of the items in the fabulous Beauty and Lace Box was Little Quackers Rice Biscuits and they are not what I expected.
We love our rice cakes and rice crackers in my house and the kids just love eating whatever it is I buy for me, not always a good idea for Master Almost Four and his eczema. We aren’t sure yet what aggravates the eczema but I have heard that some of the preservatives and colours do exacerbate the condition which means my Sweet Chilli and Sour Cream rice cakes aren’t the best option.
Knowing how my children love the flavour of the Sweet Chilli rice cakes, their other fave is Balsamic Vinegar and Sea Salt so both very flavoursome. To say that I was a little concerned that the Little Quacker Rice Biscuits would be wasted would be an understatement.
Little Quacker Rice Biscuits are fantastic for little tummies, they tick all the best boxes when it comes to toddlers beginning to eat all new foods and trying all new textures. How is this for a list:
- Organic certified
- Gluten free
- Egg and nut free
- No artificial colours
- Oven baked
And there is a grand total of 4 ingredients: organic rice, organic sugar, salt and gelatine. Nutritionally you can’t go too far wrong with that.
The biscuits come in Original or Strawberry Flavour and I have a box of the Original flavour.
The kids love them, I must say I was a little surprised but they really did. The box suggests they are recommended for 1-5 years and I broadened the test group just a little. The box of Little Quackers in my pantry has been sampled by Master 17 months, Master 3.5, Master Almost Four and Miss Nearly Nine – all of whom loved them and will come back for more.
Individually packaged in 2 biscuit serves these are fabulous for lunch boxes and take out snacks as well as munching at home, and they aren’t going to go stale if they last a long time. Not that it’s an issue in my house but if you have only one toddler then the box will last a little longer.
To get yourself a box of these quacking snacks they can be found in the Baby Food aisle of Pharmacies, Health Food Stores, Gourmet Food Stores and Supermarkets. They are now being stocked in Australian Coles and Woolworths supermarkets.
For more information they can be found at: www.LittleQuacker.com.au
I devour books, vampires and supernatural creatures are my genre of choice but over the past couple of years, I have broadened my horizons considerably. In a nutshell – I love to write! I love interacting with a diverse range of artists to bring you interviews. Perhaps we were perfect before – I LOVE WORDS!
Anyone concerned that they are made in china?
