Leapfrog have a range of toys to encourage your child’s learning, and the new Peek-A-Shoe Octopus will be in stores from August 2011.
I have a very active two year old boy who gets bored easily, but he keeps coming back to the Peek-A-Shoe Octopus for his playtime. It was also a hit with his giggling one year old nephew who surprised me with how quickly he worked out how to use it.
It is shaped as an octopus, with 5 brightly coloured shoes and three additional arms. The toy comes with 5 balls which match the colours of the shoes and can be inserted into the hat or arm holes. The balls travel through the octopus and your child can lift each shoe to find where they end up. Most children love balls, and the bright colours and animal decorations on each are very appealing.
Leapfrog’s Peek-A-Shoe Octopus talks to your child and gives clues, while also discussing the colours or numbers of the balls and offering encouragement. There is a special button which plays music and lights up for added interactivity.
This reminds me of those sideshow clowns with the balls, but much more fun for kids and better value of course! Leapfrog is such a fantastic brand for littlies, they have found the perfect combination of play and learning and your child will be gaining additional skills without ever feeling bored.
The Peek-A-Shoe Octopus is ideal for improving those fine motor skills and learning colours and numbers. It is suitable from 9 months and has an RRP of $54.99
